What are your thoughts on Nas 2nd latest album titled, "Magic"? They're hasn't been much said on it and with the following album by Nas titled, "Kings Disease lll" released soon after, they're stood no time for the album to be heard. What are your thoughts on "Magic" by Nas? I give that album a solid 8 on a scale from 1-10. On a scale from 1-10, How would you rate that album?
I really, really like this album. There is a lot of potential and to be honest, it is one of my favorite Nas albums of all time. I myself have produced lots of hit records for Nas and with the production featured on this album, you could say that my taste buds correlate with alot thats going on in that album. Thus being said, I'll rate this album to be a strong 8 out of 10 rating. Lyrically, it was dope but could of been alot stronger. It was sort of blandish and tacky, to where you knew Nas knew of his fans to be in desire need of that old school flavor He brings but on the contrary, He kinda tossed it out there like who cares type of ordeal. I worked with Nas alot during the past decades or so, down to when the Firm clique was poppin' and in my honest opinion, Nas always had that sort of attitude growing up, which I dont blame him by the way, lol. There's alot of shady shit that He experienced throughout the music industry, alot of pain and suffering, which I dont feel like talking about now.
I think Nas still has alot of maturing to do, thus, another reason to why me and Him haven't worked on a project together in over eons. I can see that He still misses me tho, lol.. as to where his new beat maker/producer resembles and follows the path that I alone paved for Nas and many other artists to name throughout the rap game. Apart from everything that's been said, over all, this album was pretty dope. It took me back to them good ol' Nas days, lol.. (Im still a fan, yes.. lol) and for what it's worth, it's a classic album, or EP to say.
