What's up everyone,
I wanted to get in depth into a few things. You know, for years I've been rocking mics across the world, touring, filming, and all sorts of neat stuff. The one thing that I've always wanted to do was bang my flag as a member of the Wu-Tang Clan. Alot of stuff had went on behind the scenes with Corleone and RZA that I didn't agree with. I sided with Corleone on everything then (and now) because at no given time was Cor ever wrong. Cor created and originated the Wu-Tang Clan, but with some help from some Industry snakes that RZA had joined forces with, myself and Cor pretty much loss everything in the process.
We kept it moving in 98' and before that, we were still hanging around during the early 90's. Alot of shit behind the scenes went down, a few niggas from RZAs' clique were robbed and stomped out by Wu fam and from there you could honestly say that it was on and poppin'. Anyways, it was getting ugly, so me and Cor teamed up and made our peaces with RZA and his clique so that no one else would get hurt. After all, myself, Cor, and RZA had then all known that we still loved eachother as family and as a family, we decided to squash things amongst brothers.
I'm going to make a long story short. GZA had came out with the, "Liquidswordz" album. The album was dope, no question. I wasn't feeling it as much, because in all reality, none of us, including myself and Cor, along with Methodman and everyone else in the Wu-Tang Clan were not accustom to not fucking with eachother on all levels. Things became awkward with us not fellowshipping with one another as frequent as we had all did in our past.
GZA had then released the album, "Liquidswordz" but prior, GZA had went behind myself and Cor's back and decided to hire an artist to drawl us fighting one another, as Himself was drawn out to be holding a knife pressed against my neck. Here's a pic of the album cover below.
Coincidence? I highly doubt it. You see, what I had found out days later was that GZA had paid this artist in New York City from around myself and Cor's way, and from what He had explained to us was that GZA had asked him to drawl himself to appear as he's pressing a knife against my neck as a statement that I was somehow dismembered from the Wu-Tang Clan. Myself and Cor laughed. We later brought it to GZAs' attention but He denied that the image drawn of himself had nothing to do with myself or Cor. What a lie that was, and myself and Cor laughed some more that He would deny ever doing so. In all perspective, if you were to stare at the photo of the album cover above you'd notice that the individual to the left side of the album cover look's exactly like myself.
You know, myself and GZA used to have a beautiful relationship as brothers between one another. We initially began beefing with eachother over a rap battle that we had between ourselves. I had won that rap battle and truth be told, pretty much everyone who was there had voted for me unanimously. GZA didnt take that loss too well and we had a serious argument with eachother over that rap battle. I've always wondered if GZA was jealous of my talents as a battle MC and I guess when shit had hit the fan after myself winning our battle between one another, that truth had came to light.
If you were to type in, "Canibus vs GZA" in the search tool on google.com, you'll read alot of different stories that are somewhat relative to this rap battle between myself and GZA. Most of everything you'll read stands incorrect, but atleast you can get some type of affirmation in knowing that the events of this rap battle are true. I battled the entire cast of everyone who claimed Wu at then, including Killah Priest and everyone else. I battled everyone on behalf of Corleone, because essentially I am still very much a member of the Wu-Tang Clan but since niggas was set trippin' and tryna play my man Cor out like He isn't the leader of our squad, I had lyrically mangled everyone on that set after my battle with GZA. I mean, if you search correctly, you'll read article after article discussing this event. People all over the world speak about this event, and of some sorts, revert to it as a cypher but technically speaking, it was a real battle that had went down.
After the battle between myself and GZA, Killah Priest and everyone else falsely reppin' Wu. Corleone had checked niggas on some real rap shit, and literally had gotten into a fist fight with GZA, Killah Priest and so on. Cor had literally beaten the shit out of everyone and nearly killed them, lol. I laugh because it was like watching Mike Tyson toss around Mercer in the ring. I mean, in my opinion, I know Cor personally on that level and I had seen Cor whip more than a few niggas asses in my lifetime. Cor is a serious dude and trains in Boxing and Martial Arts, as well. You could go to as far as saying that Corleone is such a talented fighter, He could of have well been a professional boxer, MMA fighter, or anything concerning professional fighting.
I'll sign off by saying that my take on whatever had happened between the cats that I've mentioned was destined to happen sooner or later. I mean, for years on in so much was festering and you could honestly say that these guys were cruising for a bruising, lol. Whether it involved myself pertaining to our rap battle or Cor just laying his dick down and whipping their asses, something was obviously present in the air that needed to be addressed. Do I have any resentment towards these cats? Absolutely not. I personally like the outcome of these events and its not that I am a violent individual or a trouble maker, but some shit was on every niggas chest during then and at the end of the day, niggas made peace and got alotta' ish off of they're chest in reconciling with one another. That's my take on that. I'm signing off by wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy new year. Peace.
